Dear Member,
Shropshire County Squash Association are inviting us to take part in some events to showcase "Squash" to the public as part of the runup to the Commonwealth Games.
I attach the County email coupled with a call for volunteers to support the events and increase the Club and Sports profile in Shrewsbury.
Dear all, we are looking for people who want to join in some special squash events around the Commonwealth Games. Can you please circulate this message to members and friends or otherwise pass it on to someone who can? Thank you Ben
Dear members and squash fans,
The Commonwealth Games represent a peak in terms of TV and media attention for squash. Every 4 years there is a spike in demand to know more and try out our new sport and a Commonwealth Games so close to Shrewsbury is not going to happen for a very, very long time. It is important that we try to grasp this opportunity as best we can, for our members, ex-players and for people discovering squash for the first time.
Shropshire County Squash Association are organising some public events to showcase our fantastic sport as the excitement builds before the Games, including 2 schools festivals, a public squash exhibition in Shrewsbury town centre and taking part in the Queen's Baton Relay Festival.
We are looking for volunteers who can show the unconverted how amazing squash is. If you would like to be part of the team then please contact the relevant people below:
