COURT USAGE

Once again, I find myself being obliged to be in the position of needing to chastise members in respect of use of the Court Booking system.

At the very least, EVERY person who books a court is REQUIRED to check in on the system monitor.

In the period 1st December to 14th February there were 932 court bookings;
395 "No Shows" and 111 Late cancellations.
Late cancellations drastically reduce the chance of the court being re-booked and compromises court availability to all players - as does 'double bookings' at peak times.
That is something the Committee will be looking at.

Yes, occasionally people 'forget' to check in and Yes, once in a while, the internet drops out.

BUT if 25% of the no shows are actually "No Shows" then that is a potential loss of income in the order of £300.

This is not affordable at a time of increasing energy costs.

This is an unacceptable situation and I will be speaking to the worst offenders.
