Use of "Sum Up" machine.
As ever, the Club Executive Committee is committed to maintaining and improving Club facilities; we are pleased that the purchase and installation of the "Sum-Up" machine has met with wide spread approval by the Membership.
However, as with any "tool" it's operation would benefit with a little tweak to achieve a couple of improvements.
1. Members have been"imaginative" and perhaps a little carefree with the descriptions entered into the machine.
2. This has resulted in causing the Treasurer some difficulty in accurately measuring income and expenditure and assessing whether all 'consumable' purchase cost have been covered.
We have decided, in order to make proper accounting a little easier for the Treasurer, to remove the "blank" paper slips with immediate effect and to replace them with a simple itemised anonymous form for every member who uses the "Sum Up" machine to complete.
We look forward to your co-operation with this initiative.
